At Round Three's battle, Chef Vithoun's menu, consisting of Braised Pork Cheeks, Seared Duck Breast and Creme Caramel, reigned supreme, earning him a spot in the CFN Semi Finals against Chef Hailey Dixon.

Thank you to our judges for Round Three: Kurtis Gabriel (Iowa Wild), Brooks Reynolds (Blue Ribbon Bacon Fest) and Catherine Drummond (Bash Catering and Events).

Join us on Monday, January 8, 2018, as our next two new chefs meet in the squared circle, vying for a chance to reach the CFN Championship Title Match!!

Chef Andy Sayre was born and raised in Jefferson, Iowa. He started cooking when he was 14 years old in a student ran restaurant called Ram Restaurant. From there he went to Iowa Central for Culinary Arts. After completing the program, Chef Sayre spent 3 years at Baru 66 as a pastry chef and sous chef. Andy has also spent time with Waterfront Seafood and Mirabelle in Beaver Creek, Colorado. Currently, Andy is Sous Chef of Echo Valley Country Club and he is excited to represent them at CFN!

Chef Megan Snyder grew up in a small southwest Iowa town and got a lot of her inspiration from her grandma growing up. With her love of cooking, Megan decided to go to Culinary School in Cedar Rapids and get her Bakery and Culinary Arts degrees. During that time, Chef Snyder learned the workings of Banquet service, front of house service and private events. After that, she moved to Des Moines where she has been with Proof for 4 years, currently as the AM Sous Chef.
